Working out in the morning prepares you for the day ahead, and in the evening helps you relax after a stressful day, you can work out anytime of the day though, you just have to choose which time works for you best.

  • WATCH THAT MOVIE, SHOW YOU’VE ALWAYS WANTED TO WATCH OR YOU REALLY LOVE

You can curl yourself up and get comfy on the couch and watch that movie you’ve been wanting to, it could also be something you’ve watched before but you enjoy watching, it doesn’t matter though, all you need to do is relax and enjoy while munching on that snack you really love.

  • TAKE A NAP

Sometimes all you need is a few hours of sleep to feel relaxed and energetic, you might not notice how worked out and stressed you are until your body starts breaking down when you’re so engrossed in work. On your own, you need to know when you need a break, when you need to close your eyes to get back your energy.

  • EAT A DELICIOUS MEAL

Treat yourself to a delicious meal. Eat something different from your regular meal, cook or buy yourself that meal you have been craving, the feeling itself is enough to make you forget your worries, now eating healthy is also an important aspect of self-care, while its okay to satisfy your craving once in a while, try to make sure a better part of your diet is made up of healthy meals.

  • Love and appreciate yourself

Always love and appreciate yourself, see yourself as the best thing that has ever happened to you, no matter what you go through in life, never wait for people to show you love before you appreciate yourself, always know that you are beautiful, and your curves and edges define, fit you and make you perfect. When you need to, cry out all those tears, but as you do, ensure you’re also crying out all the pain, anger and resentment, after which you would pick up yourself and take care of you. Been angry, sad or frustrated is bad for the healthy and exposes you to a lot of dangers

  • GO OUT AND RELAX

I know I love staying indoors and hanging out by myself most of the times, buts I also know it’s healthy to go and meet up with friends and family once in a while. Just make sure you’re meeting up with people you love and would make you happy, surrounding yourself with positive people and vibes is an important tip to self care. You can go watch movies, grab a snack, go swimming or do anything that keeps you relaxed and happy.

  • TAKE SHORT WALKS

Taking walks help me relax and release pent up anger, stress and emotions. You can take a walk through the park or a beautiful environment. Take in the fresh air and allow the beauty and peace of nature calm your nerves. Just make sure you are walking through a part\or area that is safe and has other people around.

  • ENGAGE IN THAT HOBBY YOU LOVE

A hobby I love that helps me relax is writing and reading, when I write, I am able to put in my emotions into the things I write about. Try getting a hobby and doing it from time to time. When doing something you love, you forget all your worries and it’s easier to release all your emotions into it.
